INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
The journal Physiotherapia Slovaca publishes articles on topics pertaining to physiotherapy, balneology and medical rehabilitation. The journal publishes original articles, review articles, case reports, reports from congresses and study stays, personal news, letters to the editor, information about new scientific books and information about scientific and academic undertaking.
The articles submitted may be written in Slovak language with summary written in English or written in English with Slovak summary.
The article has to contain this statement: "The undersigned author warrants that this article is original, is not under consideration by another journal, and has not been previously published. I sign for and accept responsibility for releasing this material on behalf of any and all co-authors." The Accepted articles become the permanent property of the journal Physiotherapia Slovaca and may not be reproduced by any means without
the written consent of the publisher. All articles are reviewed by two anonymous referees.
Acceptance is based on significance, originality and validity of the presented article as well as on the level of formal preparation. The editorship reserves the right to make small corrections or to shorten the manuscript. An author is responsible for processing the manuscript. Manuscripts that do not comply with the instructions will be returned to authors without prior review. In addition to the original copy must be sent electronically, in MS Word text editor. The manuscript must be typed with 1,5 spacing on one side of the paper leaving only 35 mm on the left
side.
The Abbreviations should be spelled out the first time they appear in the text and followed in parentheses by the abbreviation (which must not be used in the title and in the summary). The manuscript should contain the following sections: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion and Abstract.
A title page should contain the title of the article, the full name(s) and titles of the author(s), the precise name and address of the institution where the work was conducted. The correspodence address should contain full name, exact address with postcode, telephone and fax number and e-mail address of the author to whom communications, proofs and requests for reprints should be sent.
References must be numbered as they occur in the text (not alphabetically). All authors cited in the text must be included in the reference list and vice versa. The surnames of the authors followed by initials should be given. Where there are more than three authors, "et al." should be written after the name of the third author.

Structured summary of more than 300 words. It consists of the following headings: Objectives, Methods, results and conclusions. It contains the full name and title ofand surname of all authors. All data in the summary are also mentioned in the text, tables or images.
Non structured abstract is preferred for review articles. At the end of it is the number of tables, figures, references and a maximum of six keywords.
The summary must be submitted in original and two copies.
Attachments must be submitted on separate sheets of A4 paper. On the back it should be noted the serial number (e.g. Table 1, Chart 1), abbreviated title of the au-arrow image to indicate the position of the image. The titles of the tables, graphs and pictures must be written on a separate page together with legends. The tables and figures must be marked in the text on the left side. The inclusion of individual attachments in the text indicated by the left edge of the text of the abbreviation. Images in the form of photocopies or photographs must be contrasted.
All figures, graphs, tables and other written materials used in the manuscript already published must be accompanied by a written agreement of the editorship.
